Chief William "Bill" Lanford was chief of Buckeye Valley Fire Dist. In 2003 a tragic loss for BVFD Where Chief Lanford #3210 Was struck by a vehicle while driving his Motorcycle on vulture mine rd. close to Wickenburg. His memorial site stands at the same location his accident took place. This Year was our 5th Annual Bill Lanford Ride sponsered by local4371, where we were able to raise $4000.00 for the "Bill Lanford Scholarship Fund" for kids in Palo Verde Middle School. An extended thanks to the riders and Union members that participated that made this possible.
